Applications for the COLA-IMAP program are to be submitted online via SurveyMonkey Apply. The application will consist of a combination of completing online forms and uploading a variety of documents, as detailed below:
Cover Page – Provide basic contact and artistic discipline information.
Narrative – Provide further details regarding the applicant’s qualifications, artistic practice and proposed project.
ATTACHMENTS/UPLOADS:
Applicant’s Resume – Attach a current resume with detailed chronological exhibition, publication and/or performance history that reflects at least 15 years (8 years for choreographer-dancers) of mature work
Artistic Work Samples – Provide artistic work samples that demonstrate the quality of the applicant and/or project.
- Video clips: Up to 5 minutes. In general, panelists prefer to review substantive artistic excerpts rather than short edited clips with heavy narration.
- Audio track(s): (Optional for Music when more appropriate than video footage): Up to 5 minutes.
- Published Material: This format is best used for publications and museum and gallery catalogs. Digital versions of these items may be uploaded as artistic documentation
- Images/Photos: Up to 10 images of completed artwork. Digital image files must be in JPEG format, 72 DPI, 5 MB or smaller.
Do not submit marketing/promotional materials as an artistic work sample. Such items will be more appropriate as Supplementary Materials.
Supplementary Materials – DCA requests letters of support and/or critical reviews from the prior one or two years. These items should specifically support the quality, content, relevance and/or intended impact of the proposal. Provide no more than three items.
